Damien Elliott

Director of Photography

Damien is an Irish Cinematographer based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He began his career in photography and often worked collaboratively with visual artists and musicians in a mixed media environment: photography, graphic design, print making. This led to producing experimental visual material for dance music clubs in the 1990's, using 16mm and video formats. This work began a transition into motion picture and he started to work as a freelance cameraman, initially shooting low budget short films and corporate video.

He was a founder member of Six Pack, a group of filmmakers who were credited with kick starting independent film production in Northern Ireland. Although he worked primarily in commericals production during the 2000's as DP and camera operator, in recent years he has worked mainly on dramas, tv and feature film. He lives with partner Helen Sloan, stills photographer.
